Are you giving away your personal power?

The word power can draw up an image of a strong person with aggressive tendencies and evoke a feeling of fear and inferiority. While that may pertain to 1 of the many definitions of power, I am particularly making light of the one that states "the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or quality." Personal power is the ability to take actions. It is the power within us to choose our thoughts and actions so that a result we want happens. There are 8 types of personal power directly associated with the conditioning of the 3 planes (mind, body and spirit). Those 8 types are: personal foundation, emotional foundation, mind power (creativity, controlling, protection, conquering, unifying and renewal), will power (determination), body power (health and vitality), skills (education and knowledge), ownership (money and belongings) and invisible sponsorship (nature and life power). It is a significant need to search for and express your personal freedom and power in life. Happiness comes through experiencing our unrestricted freedom. Create a pledge for removing your fearful thoughts, shyness, and conformity to feel a sense of belonging.
Here are 3 signs that show you are giving away your personal power:
1) You follow every instruction or footstep a guru or book may suggest/teach.
-Most, if not all of life's lessons and manifestations are brought about through our personal experiences. In order to fully grasp a teaching you must experience it to a certain degree. It is through your ability to answer to your intuition and inner teacher that you can decide what is true and right for YOU. No one can know what makes you happy better than you yourself.
2) You judge yourself when you make a mistake.
-Complacency and personal power cannot co-exist in the making of a happy and healthy life, so it is natural for us to further our quest to understanding our creator and getting to know self. Mistakes are necessary for evolving. To remember that everything happens for a reason is a very effective way to avoid giving extra energy to negative self talk, thoughts and emotions. For how you feel is what you will attract.
3) Addiction.
-Having power means to have a sense of self control. To have an addiction, whether it be to Electronics, Drugs, Sex, alcohol etc. signifies that we feel powerless. It highlights a habitual external focus..something that is a reflection of fear. This is an impaired sense of power that may stem from many things such as lack of assertiveness and deference to others' decisions. All in all an addiction takes you further away from understanding who you really are and the God that created you.
Personal power is based on confidence, competence and strength that individuals systematically gain in the course of their development. It represents a movement toward self attainment and transcendent goals in life. It is rather a state of mind than an attempt to control others. When reflected outward it can be more magnanimous and humane than other forms of power.
